Community Amphitheater
The Maryland Center for the Visual and Performing Arts, Inc. has proposed plans to build an art campus in hopes of creating a cultural hub to benefit all. I am pleased to report that I have submitted a legislative bond initiative to help fund the amphitheater. I am joined in this initiative by Delegate Susan McComas, Delegate Andre Johnson, and Delegate Steve Johnson. The local and regional community would benefit greatly from concerts, cultural events, community celebrations, nature trails, and more! To learn more about the project, please visit the Maryland Center for the Arts webpage attached here.

BGE Information
With the winter months ahead, I want to acknowledge that energy bills may be higher due to the extremely cold weather Maryland has been experiencing. BGE is helping customers by waiving late payment fees for January and February 2025, offering payment arrangements, and streamlining the service to any costumers who were disconnected. Here are some useful programs and tools: Fuel fund of Maryland, Payment Arrangements, Due Date Extension, and budget billing information.
BGE is hosting an open house on Thursday February 20th from 5-7:30pm to help consumers better understand their energy bill. The link to get tickets is here.

National Aquarium
A visit to the National Aquarium provides a unique experience with aquatic habitats that connect people with nature and inspire them to compassionately care for our ocean planet. The National Aquarium offers free or reduced admission programs such as Half-Price Friday Nights, Maryland Mornings, or nonprofit ticket donations, further information can be found here.
